Dr. Simos Kyriakides

Dr. Simos Kyriakides, MBBCh, FRCS (Edin), FCS (SA), is a general surgeon with a distinguished career spanning over three decades. He is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the College of Surgeons of South Africa. Dr. Kyriakides earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBCh) degree in 1982 from the prestigious University of Witwatersrand, South Africa.

In 1992, he relocated to Cyprus and established Simos Kyriakides Clinic in Larnaka, where he continues to offer cutting-edge surgical services. He is one of Cyprus’ leading laparoscopic surgeons in hernia repairs, cholecystectomy and bariatric surgeries, including gastric banding and gastric sleeve procedures. 

Dr. Kyriakides is also recognised for his contributions to medical education. He is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Nicosia, reflecting his commitment to training the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Kyriakides is proud to have two daughters who have followed in his footsteps and are UK-qualified doctors.
